Frequently Asked Questions

BOOKING & SCHEDULING

How Do I Schedule An RV Inspection?

All RV inspections are booked online through our website.

Simply click the Book Your RV Inspection button to view our real-time availability calendar. Available inspection dates are marked on the calendar, and you can reserve your appointment by completing the booking form and payment process.

When Should I Schedule My RV Inspection?

We recommend discussing an RV inspection with the seller as soon as you have identified an RV you are seriously considering purchasing.

Ideally, the inspection takes place after you make a refundable deposit that’s contingent on the results of the RV inspection.

The refundable deposit typically holds the unit while you schedule the RV inspection appointment and so the inspection can be completed and the repairs can be made before the purchase is finalized.

An RV inspection provides valuable information that can help you make a more informed buying decision.

How Far In Advance Should I Schedule My Inspection?

As soon as you have identified an RV you are seriously considering purchasing, we recommend that you check our real-time calendar.

Then, you can work with the seller to schedule the appointment for a day that works for everyone.

Inspection appointments are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability can change quickly during busy periods.

Should I Travel To See The RV Before Scheduling An Inspection?

That’s entirely your choice.

Some buyers prefer to see the RV in person before scheduling an inspection. Others hire us first so they can learn about the RV’s condition before spending time and money traveling to see it.

Many buyers find that an inspection helps them determine whether the RV is worth pursuing further.

Can You Inspect An RV If I'm Buying It From Out Of State?

Absolutely. Many of our clients purchase RVs from outside their local area and hire us to inspect the RV before they spend time and money traveling to see it in person.

The inspection report helps buyers make more informed decisions before committing to travel or completing the purchase.

Can You Inspect An RV At A Dealership?

Yes, we regularly perform inspections at dealerships, consignment lots, private residences, storage facilities, and campgrounds.

As long as we have permission to access the RV (including keys) and the unit is properly prepared for an RV inspection, we always perform the inspection at the seller’s location.

How Much Does An RV Inspection Cost?

Inspection pricing varies based on the class of the RV and age of the RV being inspected.

Current pricing can be emailed instantly by filling out the Get a Quote form on our website.

Do You Require Payment At The Time Of Booking?

Yes, payment in full is required to reserve your inspection appointment.

Because inspection dates are limited and held exclusively for you once booked, appointments are not reserved until payment has been received.

What Information Do I Need To Schedule An Inspection?

To schedule an inspection, you’ll need:

  • The inspection location
  • The VIN number of the RV
  • Your contact information
  • The name and direct cellphone number of the contact person who will provide keys and access to the RV

Having this information available helps streamline the booking process and avoid delays.

What Happens After I Book My Inspection?

After booking the RV appointment on our real-time calendar, you will receive confirmation emails from our scheduling software.

Before the inspection date, we recommend reviewing our RV Pre-Inspection Checklist and sharing it with the seller or dealership to help ensure the RV is properly prepared.

On the day of the inspection, your RV inspector will contact you when the inspection begins and will provide instructions for attending if you plan to attend.

Can I Reschedule My Inspection?

RV inspection appointments can generally be rescheduled but are based on availability and require payment of a rescheduling fee.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change so we can discuss available options.

What Happens If I Need To Cancel My RV Inspection?

We understand that RV purchases don’t always go as planned. Financing can fall through, sellers can change their minds, RVs are sold before inspections (even though you made a deposit), and buyers sometimes decide not to move forward.

If you need to cancel your inspection, please contact us as soon as possible.

Cancellation policies and any applicable fees are outlined in our Terms & Conditions. The amount of notice provided and whether travel has already been initiated may affect available refund options.

If you’re unsure how your situation applies, we’re happy to discuss it with you.
