At My RV Inspection, every inspection follows The Master Method, our proven process developed through more than 1,600 RV inspections and refined by NRVIA Master Certified RV Inspectors Jason and Lisa Carletti. From requesting your quote to receiving your interactive inspection report and creating your Create Request List (CRL), every step is designed to give you a clear understanding of the RV’s condition and the confidence to make an informed decision.

Schedule Your RV Inspection
Reserve Your Inspection Date
When you’re ready to schedule your inspection, simply choose an available date from our real-time online calendar. It’s always the most accurate and up-to-date way to see our current availability. Look for the blue dots, which indicate available inspection dates.
If you haven’t already, be sure you’ve received a quote and confirmed the RV is within our Central Florida service area before completing your booking. If you’ve already spoken with us by phone, you’re one step ahead.
Complete the Booking Form with information about the RV, its location, and the seller or dealership. A valid VIN is required before your appointment can be confirmed.
After submitting the Booking Form, you’ll be directed to our secure payment portal. Once payment is received, your inspection date is confirmed and reserved exclusively for you.
Prepare for Your RV Inspection
Help Us Give You the Most Thorough RV Inspection Possible
A little preparation goes a long way toward making your inspection as thorough and efficient as possible. Our RV Pre-Inspection Checklist outlines everything needed to help us evaluate the RV using The Master Method, including access to utilities, keys, compartments, and other important items.
Please share the RV Pre-Inspection Checklist with the seller or dealership before inspection day so they have time to prepare the RV. Having the appropriate (30A or 50A) shore power connected, water available, propane and fuel available, and enough space to operate slides and awnings allows us to inspect more systems and provide a more complete report.
If everything on the checklist can’t be completed, don’t worry. We’ll document any limitations in the report and inspect everything that’s safely accessible at the time of the inspection.
You’re welcome to attend the inspection, but it isn’t required. On inspection day, your inspector will send you a text message when the inspection begins. If you plan to attend, we recommend coordinating your arrival time with your inspector. In most cases, arriving near the end of the inspection allows you to walk through the RV together, review the most significant findings, and ask questions while allowing the inspection to be completed without interruption. Most inspections take at least five hours to complete.

Our goal is to provide you with a clear understanding of the RV’s condition on the day of the inspection so you can make a confident and informed buying decision. Using The Master Method, we evaluate the RV’s major systems and components, identify visible defects and operational concerns, and document our findings in a detailed interactive report.
Every RV is different, so it’s helpful to understand how the inspection process works. Some systems require specific operating conditions, some components may not be accessible, and every inspection is limited to the RV’s condition on the day it is performed.

Fluid Analysis
An Additional Layer of Insight
For many buyers, an RV inspection provides all the information they need to make a confident buying decision. For others, fluid analysis may provide additional insight into the internal condition of a motorized RV’s engine, transmission, or generator.
By analyzing a small sample of fluid in a laboratory, fluid analysis can help identify signs of abnormal wear or contamination that aren’t visible during a visual inspection. While it can be a valuable tool in certain situations, it isn’t necessary for every purchase and may provide limited benefit on newer RVs or when fluids have been recently changed.
We offer laboratory analysis for:
- Engine Oil (EO)
- Transmission Fluid (TF)
- Generator Oil (GO)
To help you receive results as quickly as possible, we personally deliver every sample to our local laboratory rather than shipping them through the mail. Standard turnaround is typically 2 to 4 business days, with rush service available for buyers working under tighter purchase deadlines.

Your Interactive Inspection Report
Detailed Findings Delivered the Same Day
Once your inspection is complete, you’ll receive a detailed interactive inspection report by email the same day. Every report follows The Master Method, documenting the condition of the RV with clear descriptions, color-coded ratings, and supporting photos and videos to help you understand our findings.
Rather than simply identifying concerns, the report is designed to help you see the RV through the eyes of an experienced inspector. You’ll be able to review each major system, understand any operational issues or observed defects, and see exactly what we saw during the inspection.
For the best experience, we recommend viewing your report on a desktop or laptop computer, where the interactive features, photos, and videos are easiest to navigate. The report can also be viewed on a mobile device whenever you need it.
Before your report is delivered, Jason personally reviews every inspection report to help ensure the quality and consistency that are central to The Master Method.
Create Request List (CRL)
Turn Your Inspection Findings into a Negotiation Tool
One of the most valuable features of your inspection report is the Create Request List (CRL). With just a few clicks, you can select items directly from your report and generate a professional list of repairs or concerns to share with the seller or dealership.
The CRL allows you to focus on the items that matter most to you. Whether you’re requesting repairs, negotiating a price adjustment, or simply documenting items you’d like addressed before closing, it’s an easy way to organize your inspection findings into a clear, professional document.
Because the CRL is generated directly from your inspection report, every item includes the same descriptions and supporting photos you’ve already reviewed. This helps everyone involved understand exactly what was observed during the inspection.
How you use the CRL is entirely up to you. Some buyers request repairs before completing the purchase, while others use it to negotiate a credit or simply plan for future maintenance after taking ownership.
Verification of Repairs
When You Need Extra Peace of Mind
After reviewing your inspection report, the seller or dealership may agree to repair some of the items identified during the inspection. In many cases, they’ll provide invoices, photos, or other documentation showing the work has been completed, and that’s often all buyers need before moving forward.
If you’d like additional peace of mind, My RV Inspection also offers a Verification of Repairs (VOR) service. We’ll return to the RV and verify the specific repairs you’ve requested us to review, documenting our findings so you can make your final buying decision with confidence.
Because a Verification of Repairs requires a separate appointment and travel to the RV, it is offered as an additional service and billed separately from the original inspection.

Once your interactive inspection report has been uploaded, your inspector will send you a text message letting you know it’s ready to review.
Receiving your inspection report is just the beginning. We encourage you to take your time reviewing the findings, photos, and videos, then reach out if you have any questions. Our goal is to make sure you understand the condition of the RV so you can make an informed buying decision.
If something in the report isn’t clear or you’d like additional explanation, your inspector is happy to discuss the findings with you, preferably the same evening after you’ve had a chance to review the report. It’s the perfect opportunity to ask questions, gain additional context, and better understand the condition of the RV while everything is still fresh.
Many buyers use the report to discuss repairs or negotiate with the seller or dealership. While those conversations are ultimately between you and the seller, we’re happy to help clarify the inspection findings so you have the information you need to make informed decisions throughout the buying process.

Every RV can have defects, maintenance needs, or items that require attention. Some are minor. Some are more significant. In fact, we sometimes find just as many issues on a brand-new RV as we do on a used one. The difference is that the issues are often very different.
Our job isn’t to tell you whether you should buy the RV. Every buyer has different priorities, budgets, experience levels, and long-term plans for ownership. What may be a deal breaker for one buyer may be perfectly acceptable to another.
